The Trevor James Renaissance TJCT4500 Cornet features a yellow brass bell, complemented by a silver plate finish. The bell provides a bright direct tone with plenty of focus. Trevor James works closely with brass players to push the standard of brass manufacture and engineering. The Trevor James cornet also features a 1st valve thumb hook and an adjustable 3rd valve ring, ideal fine-tuning in extreme registers. The key phrase Trevor James uses often is not a tagline or a slogan but was the design objective for the Trevor James renaissance range of brass instruments. Trevor James has set a new standard in brass manufacture and design, making sure that all instruments are built to perform to the musician's needs. The cupronickel (copper-nickel alloy) slides are a great addition to the instrument due to their corrosion resistant properties. This way the slides will be easy to move, even if left for a long period of time
Yellow Brass Bell and Silver Plate
The yellow brass provides a nice balance between the various playing parameters which makes it the most widely used and commonly played alloy in the world. A standard mix of 70 percent copper and 30 percent zinc helps to provide a focused sound with a solid core with very little resistance. The silver plate finish is not only aesthetically pleasing, but it also contributes to the brightness of the sound
