Odyssey OTR1250 Premiere D/Eb Trumpet Overview
The Odyssey OTR1250 Trumpet in D or Eb is a smaller and brighter instrument than the Bb trumpet. This is especially suited for solo parts in orchestral works, or parts requiring additional brightness in timbre. This instrument is the same high quality as all Odyssey Premiere trumpets - and is a perfect companion to your Bb trumpet. The OTR1250 is of particularly high value as the instrument can be played in the key of D or Eb, providing excellent versatility - particularly in trumpet parts from the Baroque era to early Classical.

The Odyssey OCR1250 is a versatile instrument that can be played in a variety of different musical situations. As a D/Eb trumpet, this instrument will be brighter and smaller than a Bb. This is well suited for higher register parts and in particular it is well suited to solo parts such as the famous Haydn Trumpet Concerto in Eb.
The rose brass found in the bell and leadpipe produces a rich and warm sound which is perfect for orchestral and solo performances. The valves in the OCR1250 are crafted from monel which is a nickel and copper alloy. The majority of premium trumpets have monel valves because it is very dense and is more resistant to corrosion, meaning they won't flake and are less likely to seize up.

Everything you need
The OCR1250 includes everything you need to start practising straight away. The included case provides protection while also being lightweight and durable. The case features comfortable shoulder straps to ensure easy transport between musical events. If you'd prefer to carry the case, then the straps can be removed and stored in the zipped compartment on the side of the case. The Odyssey trumpet also includes a mouthpiece, so players can start to practise as soon as the trumpet arrives. A maintenance care kit is also included so players can maintain the high standards of their instrument for longer.
