The Wave Arts FinalPlug 6 is a professional standard peak limiter and volume maximiser with extensive bit depth truncation and dither options. It is easier than ever to precisely tame your final mix or push the volume to the limits while retaining clarity and signal nuance. Simply select a desired output ceiling level, and adjust the threshold level to achieve instant increases in volume.

The innovative peak limiter section looks 1.5 milliseconds ahead to detect input peaks. When a peak is detected, the gain is quickly ducked to let the peak pass, then restored slowly according to a release time control. Adjust to a faster release time to accommodate for a rapidly changing program with frequent peaks, or alternatively, for slowly changing material, slower release times prevent excessive modulation distortion. What's more, FinalPlug's auto-release feature selects the ideal release time for any material, making the whole process a breeze.

A truncate and dither section eliminates quantisation distortion in CD mastering. The dither noise can be spectrally shaped to move it to frequency ranges where it is less audible. Utilise a comprehensive noise shaping section, with a variety of commonly used noise shapes that fit almost any CD mastering scenario.
