Inspired by the classic hardware designs of yesteryear, Voca's compression tone closely resembles the 1176 and LA-2A-style compressor series, but without the hassle. Gone are the complex terminologies that are exclusive to compressors, such as the threshold, ratio and even the time constants and instead, just use the simple interface wheel to determine how much compression you want.
The dual-stage compressor design is capable of going from bouncy compression to reinforce the groove to a more vibrant, upfront and punchy vocal in one parameter.
A common technique when producing vocals, Voca features a powerful Saturation circuit. This can set the depth of your vocals in a mix, helping to fit within the context of the mix more easily than if left untreated. After applying saturation and compression, most vocals will suffer from some unwanted resonances and harshness.
