Key Features
The McDSP Analog Channel HD v7 is a HD-ready twin pair of plug-ins, emulating the sound of classic analog amplifiers and tape machines. Compatible with HD formats, the McDSP Analog Channel can run on your host processing or the DSP processors (such as the McDSP APB or the Avid HDX) to save your system from excessive CPU. Including both the AC101 configuration and the AC202, the McDSP Analog Channel lets you add character, warmth and authentic analog sound to digital tracks, loops or samples to give your sounds a new lease of life.
The AC101 configuration adds preamp gain up to an extremely high level without introducing digital distortion. Featuring a drive control which determines the level of saturation and attack and release times, you can tailor the response of your preamp sound to any kind of instrument you find within a mix. Adding warmth to your sound is made easy with the AC202 tape emulation algorithm. Boasting a range of parameters including bias control, playback speed, saturation recovery time, low-end roll off and even a choice of EQ modes, you are offered far more than is traditionally possible on hardware tape machines. The increased functionality ensures that you'll find yourself lacking in inspiration for adding rich sounds to any instrument in your session.
Ideal for producers and mixing engineers, Analog Channel offers a variety of music production solutions. Use the AC202 mode to create separation between drums, giving each a space within a busy frequency range between bass drum and snares or use the AC101 algorithm to give an extra boost and life to your guitar tones.
