McDSP AE400 Active EQ HD v7

The McDSP AE400 Active EQ HD v7 is a HD-ready, four-band active EQ plug-in. Compatible with HD formats, the McDSP AE400 Active EQ HD can run on your host processing or the DSP processors (such as the McDSP APB or the Avid HDX) to save your system from excessive CPU. Ideal for an array of production techniques in music production, dialogue in post-production and even live sound, the AE400 Active EQ features four overlapping fixed bands. Each with active gain control and key filter to allow the active gain response to be as broad or narrow as needed for your mix.

Each fixed and active band share the same parameters of gain, frequency, Q factor and mode controls with the ability to link each band together to make global changes that will copy across each band. Additionally, you can set each band to trigger from the input signal or external side-chaining signal for a more dynamic and flexible approach to EQ to carve out a unique space within your mix.

Articulate metering and monitoring onboard allows you to pinpoint the exact frequencies you need to create more pronounced vocals in your mix. Monitor the internal or external side key, whilst keeping an eye on your gain staging across multiple bands simultaneously with band linking modes. Perfect for a range of different instruments, AE400 Active EQ is perfect for creating space between low-frequency instruments to add punch to a kick drum as well as sweeping through your key filter to hear prominent vocal frequencies to boost and sit above a dense mix.
