A new hybrid synth, FRMS boasts the power of three synthesizers in one plug-in, combining granular, subtractive and FM synthesis in one. Each independent style of synth engine has been combined using up to four to stack a unique blend of synthesis together. Each layer can function as either a subtractive or granular synthesizer, with subtractive mode offering a single oscillator make-up, selecting between four waveforms including sine, triangle, square and sawtooth.
This hybrid design allows the granular portion of FRMS to shine through, enabling you to experiment with creating almost limitless numbers of unique sounds. By extracting small sections and applying them through the proprietary algorithm before being linked together to reform an audio file, this newly created waveform will maintain the timbre of the source whilst being distinctly different.
