Authenticity and convenience
The original Matrix 12 utilised digital control for analog tone generation, but Arturia has included more parameters to the interface that offer more control than ever to access complex and exact sound design abilities.
Enjoy two meticulously recreated oscillators with comprehensive control for an authentic analog sound. Define your sounds with pulse, saw, and triangle waves, as well as PWM, hard sync, FM, and noise.
Fifteen filters give you plenty of design possibilities including multiple pass modes, multiple slopes, and even phase-shifting filters that all produce tones other analog synths simply cannot.
Complex routing
Whereas many synths only offer just volume and filter envelopes, the Matrix V has five assignable envelopes that can be applied all over the synth to produce exciting movement throughout your sounds. Furthermore, five tempo-sync-able LFOs can also be applied to anything to create unique sounds that evolve over time and are sure to capture the attention of any audience. Plus, there are four ramp processors that you can apply to any signal. All this complex routing can be easily called upon visually by pressing any parameter's button to see all the sources that modulate it.
Matrix reloaded
The comprehensive modulation routing is presented with access to every route at once. Plus, with up to 40 total simultaneous modulations, you'll practically never run out. Six independent keyboard zones with adjustable range, MIDI channel, and voice allocation offer powerful playable expressivity. Assign each of the Matrix-12 V's voices to keyboard zones, and from there transpose, detune, and pan them independently. Each voice can even play a different patch. Independent vibrato offers further movement separately from the five LFOs, and you can modulate its speed and amount from the mod wheel, a pedal, or aftertouch. Moreover, utilise a selection of studio-grade effects including phaser, flanger, chorus, analog delay, stereo ping-pong delay, and reverb.
Powered by TAE technology
Using proprietary modelling algorithms, Matrix-12 V is able to recreate the iconic instruments down to the component parts to create unrivalled realism and immersion. Unmatched in analog emulation, Matrix-12 V is powered by TAE and Phi technologies. TAE offers component-level modelling to accurately present the characteristics and behaviour of the instrument, whilst Phi's state-of-the-art physical modelling brings the acoustic properties into the virtual world for hyper-realism. The result is truly a next-level sound that is indistinguishable from the original to add to your productions.
