Key Features
The Analogue Systems RS-450 CV Recorder is a CV recorder and sequencer module that allows you to record and replay CVs with 16-bit precision. The RS-450 offers 2 operation modes, which are real-time, and step-time modes. The 4 channels can be recorded simultaneously or independently, allowing you to create multi-track sequences. The RS-450 CV Recorder provides you with sequencer controls for choosing the play mode, direction, and start/stop times. Additionally, the RS-450 comes supplied with a 4GB memory card and 10 independent memories that can be recalled at any time, ideal for live performances.

The Analogue Systems RS-450 is ideal for live performance. It can be used for multi-channel recording of voltages, gates and triggers from external sources. The module records and replays CVs with 16-bit precision, retaining the quality of recording and playback. The RS-450 offers 2 modes of operation. These are Real-Time mode, and Step-Time mode. In Real-Time mode, the module operates as a 4-channel, real-time sampler of analog voltages. You can record the 4 channels either simultaneously or individual, which allows you to create multi-track sequences when performing live. The channels can be turned on or off during replay. Playback rate can also be controlled using a CV. In Step-Time mode, the module operates by storing a CV into a single location each time a clock pulse is received at the CLOCK IN input. The pulse does not need to be a traditional clock. It can also be a gate or trigger from the keyboard. An external clock or LFO can be used to replay these stored CVs.
The RS-450 provides flexible controls for playback of sequences. The module allows you to choose between 3 different sequencer modes, which changes how the sequence plays. When switched to single, the sequence plays only once and then stops. For repeat mode, the sequence loops continuously until a stop command is received. The final mode is hold mode. In this mode the sequence loops but if a stop command is received the loop will not play to the end, but instead will stop at the point is has reached. The RS-450 also allows you to choose the sequencer direction. You can choose for the sequence to play forwards, backwards, or in alternating directions. There are 10 non-volatile memories available on the module, and the memory selector can be used to quickly choose the memory you want to record with or replay. Additionally, you can choose the start and end points of the sequence during playback.
