Complete tonal shaping
As EQ is undoubtedly the most used processor in music production, it's important to ensure that you have all of the tools you need to sculpt and shape any instrument or sound within your mix, just the way you need. Equalize 2 from Acon delivers the classic parametric design producers will be familiar with alongside a range of advanced parameters to ensure complete control over your processing. This 12-band EQ lets you shape the full frequency spectrum with creative freedom. Each band features eight different filter types from low cut/shelf, high cut/shelf, peak, band-pass and notch filters, meaning no matter if you're EQ'ing a single bass drum to cut out the unruly lows and shelf the highs or an entire mix to create a balanced midrange with detailed treble and powerful lows, Equalize 2 can help you achieve your sonic goal.
Alongside eight different filter types, each band has a variety of parameters to enable you to take complete control over your sound shaping. Adjustable gain, centre frequency, Q-factor, resonance and even the filter slope is provided to you. Setting itself apart from the rest, Equalize 2 features freely adjustable slopes per band between 3 to 120dB in any increment you need to get the right sound. Whether you're looking to surgically remove the whistle from a guitar speaker, the ring from a snare drum or harsh room nodes from a room piano recording or do large, broad changes to the full frequency response of a full mix, Equalize 2 provides you with the tools to succeed.
Flexible performance to meet your requirements
Combining excellent sound with expansive customisation ensures that Acon Equalize 2 will quickly become your go-to in the studio for EQ needs. Ideal for any application where EQ is needed, Equalize 2 comes with three phase modes including the Mixed Phase Mode with adjustable latency. Ideal for mastering, you can ensure that your EQ moves introduce no phasing issues across the audio file, whilst ensuring that playback latency is maximized for your session. Additionally, each band can function in either Mid/Side mode or stereo operation, making it ideal for post-production studios to tailor the response based on the on-screen cues.
A wide range of visual feedback is provided, allowing you to monitor the changes in your frequency response for your mix. A dual spectrum analyser highlights input and output response in either stereo or mid/side mode to understand how the changes you make affect your overall response in your tone. Additionally, a piano viewing mode lets you map musical notes to frequencies for better and more accurate EQ across the musical scope of your composition. This is ideal for enhancing the root note of a bass guitar by matching the fundamental note or by reducing the excessive boom of a kick drum's resonant note.
