Your incoming signal will be divided with absolute precision. The AX230 boasts Linkwitz-Riley filters, the very same that have been featured in high-end audio products since 1976. You'll be provided with the finest driver protection via the 24dB/Octave slope and smooth adjustable crossover frequencies. It’s hard to go wrong with the AX230 in your set-up. Your speakers will be safe and secure at all times. The crossover provides you with two switchable ranges. These are 44-9430Hz and 440Hz to 9.3kHz. The use of Linkwitz-Riley features ensures clean and sharp filters for an even distribution of sound at all times, no matter what speaker set-up you may be using.
You’ll notice that the AX230 also offers a variable subwoofer output. This enables you with extra control over your low frequency content with a control range of 10-235 Hz. Technically speaking, you could say that this turns the device into a stereo 3-way, and a mono 4-way active crossover. What’s more, the inclusion of a 25Hz high pass filter will be excellent in defining your low-end. With a one touch, you’ll be able to eradicate any inaudible low-end rumble which can result in low-frequency instruments such as bass and kick drums appearing muffled and lacking in definition.
