DISC LD Systems DDQ12 12'' Active PA Speaker with DSP Overview
The LD Systems DDQ 12 Active PA Speaker features an efficient 2-way biamplified design that delivers superior touring class performance and is perfect for front of house, monitor applications, portable PA systems and fixed installations alike. The 12'' Faital Pro neodymium woofer is paired with a BMS 1'' tweeter and two Hypex UCD400 Class D amplifiers, providing 800 watts power output (RMS) with a 54Hz to 20kHz frequency response and a peak SPL of 134dB, the DDQ 12 ensures incredible high-power audio performance with crystal-clear reproduction. The high quality, specially programmed 24 bit Sharc signal processor delivers detailed control of delay, EQ, volume, crossover and phase along with other protective features and the innovative look ahead limiter.

The DDQ 12 includes a 24-bit/48kHz custom Sharc DSP with volume control, delay, EQ crossover, phase alignment and comprehensive protection functions for precision adjustment and reliable operation. In addition, the DDQ features digital encoding, a switchable high-pass filter and ground lift switch. The LD DDQ12 also features an innovative, predictive limiter, with a 1 millisecond look ahead, delivering distortion free operation even at full volume, as peaks will be limited before they even reach the speaker drivers. Protection circuits are also included for excessive voltage, current and RMS power, providing excellent longevity to the DDQ Speakers from LD Systems.
Robust Design and Construction
The 15mm birch ply bass reflex enclosure is extremely durable with a polyurethane finish, incorporating a 50° angle and asymmetrical rotatable HF horn for floor monitor applications. The hardware includes a protective steel grille, multiply flying points and the LD Systems innovative Evolutive handles for easy portability and transport. A durable Adam Hall bracket makes mounting the DDQ 12 on speaker poles easy and reliable.
