A dependable companion on stage and on tour. The AKG D40 tolerates everything you can throw at it and more. On small stages the integrated stand adapter and included bracket for drums or percussion makes placing the D40 a breeze. On noisy stages the cardioid polar pattern helps to reduce spill from other instruments or drums.

The D40 can record volumes up to 156 dB SPL, so even if you wanted to record a jumbo jet, you could. Although this is thoroughly not recommended. AKG's dual-thickness Varimotion diaphragm design ensures the capsule vibrates completely freely. The result? A crisp sound across the entire frequency range.
