The Strymon Orbit dBucket Flanger uses hand crafted dBucket algorithms, and a high-performance DSP dedicated to delivering high quality flange effects, the Orbit recreates some of the greatest vintage analogue flangers in a compact and sturdy design. Although the pedal only features a mono input, with a simple flick of the internal switch, the mono can be used as a TRS stereo input to provide full, wide audio effects. The orbit also features a high quality analogue front end and output, creating incredible sounding flange effects, bringing a whole new dimension to your tone.
Featuring three sperate feedback settings to choose from, the pedal offers positive, negative and positive/negative feedbacks. When set to positive, the pedal creates an in-phase wet/dry mix, producing a jet like swish when using the higher Regen setting. When set to +/- feedback, the pedal uses frequency dependent feedbacks, combining the elements of both positive and negative to create new sonic possibilities. The last mode you can select is a negative feedback, which produces hollow watery sounds.
The pedal’s three LFOs featured offering incredible flange sounds, created to the highest quality with handmade algorithms. The logarithmic setting creates an even sounding frequency, for classic flange effects. The linear setting offers a frequency sweep that sweeps up when you play higher and slows down when you play lower. The last setting is a through-zero effect that advances the wet signal ahead of the dry signal, creating dramatic flanging effects.
