The Ormsby GTR Elite is a functionally and aesthetically striking, unique and hard-hitting electric guitar, which is designed with a more aggressive, overdriven sound in mind. It features a swamp ash body which brings a natural, earthy and rich tonal experience to the sound, as well as providing resonance for days on end - especially when paired with the robust Ormsby Custom Multiscale bridge.
Attached to the body is a set wenge neck, which is laminated for enhanced playability and supremely comfortable playing experience. The pale moon ebony fretboard also contributes to both the playability and aesthetics of this guitar, as is complements the metallic copper print body with a more natural exposed wood design. With all-black hardware, this guitar is true to the metalhead aesthetic, and the dual humbucking pickups provide a huge sound which guarantee screaming highs alongside beefy lows and a crisp mid-range.

Ideally suited to solid body guitars, swamp ash has been used as a tonewood for decades by expert guitar makers all over the world. This is because it is a great all-rounder, and it ticks boxes across a range of frequencies. Resonant across the board with a wonderfully full-bodied low-end, the slightly scooped midrange brings a crisp and articulate brightness to the highs that means they demand to be heard at all times. It is also comparatively lightweight to other tonewoods, meaning you’ll have a supremely comfortable and confident playability when you’re on stage.
The wenge neck brings a metallic chime to the guitar’s tonal palette, whilst also providing a stiff, reliable and long-lasting performance. It is also laminated, offering an enhanced playability and allowing you to glide smoothly across the pale moon ebony fingerboard at whatever speed you desire. On the bridge, you’ll find a Blizzard GTR humbucking pickup which delivers a lightning-fast response and thrives at high output. Designed specifically for the modern metal sound, this pickup offers up glorious mids, soaring, bright highs and tight lows with a warmth across the board that can be tailored exactly to help you find your own unique voice.
On the neck, there is the Concordia Custom humbucking pickup. Working in perfect harmony with the guitar’s tonewoods as well as the bridge pickup, the Concordia complements the tone with articulate and clean mids, sweet, bright highs and deep diving lows. This pickup also uses coil splitting technology, opening up your instrument to a world of additional tones reminiscent of a single coil sound, with all the high output perks of a modern humbucker.
