The JHS Pedals Moonshine V2 Overdrive and Distortion – like the original – features a classic tone circuit that produces drive at a range of gain stages which can be used by a variety of different playing styles. This pedal is not a transparent overdrive, it adds its own character to the sound of your setup with a classic blues and rock colouring. Also included is a 2-position toggle switch; down provides low gain warmth, up is a hot blues/rock gain.
Additional headroom
Another benefit of the updated version of Moonshine is that players can achieve additional headroom when required. Like other pedals from JHS, the JHS Pedals Moonshine V2 is equipped with an internal charge pump that allows the pedal to function on 9v, but with the ability of converting to 18v. This increase in power offers additional headroom with extra punch that will slice through any mix.
