Constructed from an all flamed maple body, the Artcore guitar produces a focused tone with an impressive sustain and character. With a clear, defined upper midsection and a high-end sparkle, the maple body delivers a balanced low-end response ideal for chiming chords and super bright lead patterns. The thin archtop design delivers traditional jazz tones with an excellent midrange to complement your playing, while the thin design makes the Ibanez AF95FM an incredibly comfortable guitar to play. A pair of classic 'F' sound holes are also featured on the soundboard, allowing the natural sound to be projected acoustically. These elegantly cut holes also provide a classic look that many guitarists associate with the 1950s era.
This contemporary archtop guitar has been specifically designed to meet the demands of today's cutting edge players, offering superb craftsmanship and hardware for the best sound. As well as proving a resonant body with comfortable contours, a three-piece mahogany/maple neck is also incorporated for added comfort and an enhanced tone. This three-piece neck is mounted with a bound ebony fingerboard with acrylic block inlays. Ebony is a great choice for fingerboards, as its natural smoothness reduces finger fatigue ideal for fast playing styles, and provides the perfect platform for percussive styles such as tapping or hammer-ons.
The Ibanez AF95FM delivers beautiful tones perfect for jazz fans, with its choice of incredible Super 58 pickups which have been used by artists like George Benson, Pat Metheny, and John Scofield. This vintage choice of pickup delivers warm, balanced articulation, an excellent response, and a perfect tone for jazz guitarists. These pickups are capable of delivering a 'jazz clean' tone, as well as 'blues-dirty' for a versatile performance.
