This isn't just any reissue. No, when Gibson say they've cloned a '50s LP, they mean it. The Ultra-Light Aged finish is intended to create the true vibe of a relic Les Paul. Not only that, but it also simulates the decades of light play this pioneering guitar would have been through. Having received the skilled attention of the artisans at Gibson's Murphy Lab, this reissue has been delicately aged to imbue the sense, look and character of an instrument that's a veteran of the stage.

If there are three letters that get any guitarist excited, it's PAF. The first humbuckers to grace the Les Paul changed rock 'n' roll forever, and they've since become some of the most desired sets amongst tone purists. Well, there's good news for six-string lovers everywhere, because the Custom Shop have captured the thunder of the originals.
Crafted from alnico III magnets to evoke the low gain crunch of the first PAFs, these pickups purr with a vintage bite. The accuracy goes a step further with their unpotted construction, so that they remain true to the mould breaking PAF voice. So, expect to indulge in an open, treble rich sound that'll bring classic tones to life.

This incredible reissue reminds us all why LP's took the guitar world by storm, as the rounded, medium "C" '50s neck shape will feel sublime in your palm. It's not a Les Paul without the best hardware...

So, there's the usual ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge that makes intonation a breeze, and of course, the Kluson Single Line, Single Ring tuners that provide a vice-like grip on your strings. But this time, every component is just as you'd find on a proper '50s gem from Gibson's heyday. So not only is going to keep your playing stable and tuning solid, but it'll do it with retro style.
Following on from that is an authentic '50s style "no tube" truss rod that eschews the plastic sheathing for the bare metal style of the original. Fitted by master luthiers, you can be sure it'll keep your neck in good shape. And finally, with an instrument bristling in period-correct, premium hardware, you'll want to keep it safe when on the move. An included reissue hardcase keeps the style of the classics, and keeps the knocks and bumps at bay.
