The BTB845V features the iconic BTB body shape, offering a sleek design with smooth contours and a curved bevel to create a truly elegant and unique appearance. Built with a poplar burl top and finished in an eye catching antique brown stain, this Bass Workshop instrument gives players and instant boost in stage presence. Coupled with the poplar top are a pair of mahogany/ash wings, delivering a warm tone and rich response with an incredibly tight low-end. Its double cutaway provides flexibility across the whole fingerboard for an optimum tonal range.
The unique body is coupled with a 5-piece maple and walnut neck, creating an incredibly bright, smooth tone with excellent sustain and stability. Using two tonewoods together provides players with a combination of stunning tonal qualities and sonic enhancements, as well as an amazing aesthetic quality. The neck is paired with a jatoba fingerboard which enhances the overall projection, offering a strong, hard character to add extra punch and a subtle amount of brightness. Its neck-through-body construction optimises the maximum contact between the neck and body joint, enhancing the natural resonance for an advanced sustain. A zero fret is also included, providing accurate intonation along with consistent resonance across the whole fingerboard.
The Bass Workshop BTB Bass is equipped with a set of Bartolini BH2 pickups, which are designed with a dual-coil style configuration to help maximise the bass’ articulation while offering excellent definition and accuracy. The long blade pole piece is built to expand the pickup’s magnetic field, delivering an incredibly balanced strong-to-string response for a truly stunning performance. These pickups are perfect for a variety of musical styles, offering a tight low-end, punchy mids, and a smooth high-end response.
One of the most unique features of the BTB845V Bass is Ibanez’s custom electronics, featuring a 3-band EQ, volume control, and balancer to provide the maximum control over shaping and crafting the tone of your guitar. The EQ section features controls over the treble, mids, and bass, allowing you to mould every nuance of your sound to create the perfect sound for your playing.
In addition to the 3-band EQ, the Ibanez Bass also features a mid-frequency select switch, letting you instantly switch between 250Hz, 450Hz, and 700Hz, the heart of the mid zone, to create a more dynamic and ideal tone when needed.
This 5-String BTB Bass features a stylish Mono-Rail V bridge, adding to its beautiful aesthetic while improving string stability and sustain. This innovative design offers a wide intonation adjustment range, and each independent saddle provides a maximum string vibration transfer without any interference.
