An impressive feature of the Darkglass Hyper Luminal Compressor is the ability to digitally model some of history's most iconic compression pedals. There are three selectable modes on-board the pedal including Bus, Fet and Sym. Bus offers the renowned 80s punchy compression sound, Fet provides an energetic and overall bright effect, and Sym brings Darkglass' own Super Symmetry model of an old-school compressor with a modern twist.
Shape Your Ideal Compression Effect
Once the mode has been selected, there are many more tonal possibilities available with the controls. There are four control knobs that including blend, time, compression and level, which all adjust the parameters of the compressor effect. Blend controls the mix of the dry signal with the affected signal, whilst Time sets the attack and release of the compression, Level sets the overall output and Compression controls the amount and intensity of the effect.
