Designed for professional players, the FR-8X includes built-in speakers and a rechargeable battery, enabling you to take your music anywhere. There are also 180 orchestral and percussion sounds, plus the ability to add effects and record your performance using the onboard looper.

Accordions are tactile instruments, full of subtlety and nuances. The Roland V-Accordion allows you to feel connected to your instrument at all times using Dynamic Bellows Behaviour technology to recreate the authentic feel of an acoustic accordion.

In the FR-8X, Dynamic Bellows Behaviour automatically adjusts the ait transfer in the bellows in real time, based on the selected register and the number of notes played. This provides a comfortable and authentic response that will be pleasingly familiar to traditional players.

Easy and intuitive, go wherever the music takes you

The FR-8X is incredibly easy to use, with a large colour screen and intuitive operation via the many dedicated buttons. Control a variety of functions using the programmable chin switches, so you can change registers or user programs without lifting your hands from the keyboard. 1400 user memories allow you to save custom settings so you're prepared for any type of performance.

Complete with a rechargeable onboard battery and built-in stereo amplification system, the FR-8X is a totally self-contained instrument. The battery can be charged by connecting the included AC adapter directly, you can even play without interruption as it charges. All device connections are now located on the instrument, including MIDI, USB and audio jacks for connecing to an external amp or recording system.

The sound of an accordion is beautiful and the FR-8X gives you a choice of several accordion sounds to suit your mood, allowing you to express yourself in a way never before possible. Over 180 orchestra and percussion sounds are on board, as well as traditional instruments such as strings, brass, electric and acoustic guitars, church organ, harp, ethnic sounds, synthesizers and a wide range of drum kits! The possibilities are endless. The Virtual Tone Wheel sound engine lets you play amazing organ sounds, whilst harmonic bar controls let you personalise your sounds for any musical style. Play up to 4 different tones at once in the right-hand keyboard modes, with the left-hand keyboard now including layering options, too.

All these extra sounds can be used with the on-board looper. Build up your musical performance one instrument at a time, before improvising over the top with your favourite accordion sounds. There are 4 internal memory areas provided for loading new sounds from the Roland sound library.

The FR-8X has a versatile USB memory port, allowing you to play along with pre-recorded MP3, WAV audio for practice or live backing, just connect your USB stick and start playing.
