The 200 series produces an excellent response and a warm, rich tone with its unique embouchure hole design, providing a solid tonal platform for those beginning to learn. Further guidance is provided by the footjoint alignment marks, which facilitate proper fitting by young or inexperienced players. And like all Yamaha instruments, this flute is built to last: the key posts have been thickened and redesigned for improved durability and strength to maintain accurate rod alignment.
Nickel Silver Body with Inline Mechanisms
The inline key system on the Yamaha YFl281 makes this flute more suitable for players who find a traditional offset-G mechanism cramped - on this flute all the keys are in line with each other, so the left hand much reach further round the instrument than on an offset-G mechanism. As well as this, the instrument is made from a nickel silver body, which is nice and easy to maintain and keep clean.
