The ESI U24 XL is stylish as well as portable, with the interface measuring at 10cm x 9cm, making it perfect for taking the interface wherever you go. The interface itself is constructed from a robust, all metal design for maximum durability and style. The U24 XL provides you with 2 analog input and output channels with 1/4'' TRS connectors as well as a output connector that can be used as a headphone output for monitoring purposes. Running at 24-bit, the interface provides you with exceptional audio quality and response, perfect for digital inputs. As well as its impressive audio quality, the interface also feature realtime input monitoring for incoming signals and support for professional audio drivers such as ASIA 2.0. There is also CoreAudio support for Mac OS X 10.4 and higher for Apple users.

S/PDIF Digital Inputs and Outputs

The ESI U24 XL also provides you with a convenient digital S/pDIF connection in both optical and coaxial format for added versatility. S/PDIF is one of the main digital formats for transmitting audio. A lot of digital audio equipment will come with a S/PDIF output such as professional CD players or 5.1 speaker systems. The S/PDIF connections come in the form of both coaxial and optical for maximum flexibility and compatibility with other external devices.
