About dUg Pinnick

Since the formation of King’s X in the ‘80s, dUg has been one of the most influential forces in the world of rock , gaining acclaim in particular for his pioneering use of the relatively unused 12-string bass. dUg's notoriety stems from his simulataneous use of guitar and bass amps to achieve a high end distortion with a low end bass.The resultant sound was powerful yet sensitive, much like the man himself.

dUg Pinnick Signature Ultra Bass 1000

The dUg Pinnick Signature Ultra Bass 1000 is unconventional in its channel structure. Instead of switching from one channel to the other , the intent is to use both channels mixed or by the bottom channel by itself. The Top channel takes on the role of a distorted guitar amp whereas the bottom provides a clean pre-amp and compressor for a more traditional bass amp sound.

The included footswitch allows for the simultaneous use of both channels to achieve the signature dUg sound. A mute switch also enables the player to silently tune the instrument.
