Casting aside the traditional idea of a combo amp, the MB58R makes life easier by cutting down the weight. Coming in at a featherlight 12.2kg, it's much easier to transport than more usual combo amp styles. And that's complemented by a sturdy recessed handle to make carrying it by hand a breeze.
It might be lightweight combo, but it still boasts a whopping 300W of standalone power. This can be upgraded even further to 500W by adding a 102 PURE or MB 58R 151 PURE cabinet, allowing you to project a room filling sound at even the largest venues.
Built with a single and mighty 12" custom neodymium speaker, the Markbass MB58R serves up a host of articulate and clear tones. Bass notes arrive with a deep character and plenty of presence, while the highs are smoothly voiced by a calibrated hi-fi tweeter, ensuring the full voice of your instrument shines through the amplifier.
Find your sound. Hosting a series of effective controls, the Markbass MB85R will deliver the sonics you're after. Separate Gain and Master controls optimise the level settings, while a simple 4-band EQ provides further fine-tuning to the output. The result is a clear and defined sound that's an authentic amplification of your instrument's natural tone.
Combined with the FX loop that has post or pre-EQ settings, you can really customise the sound. And not only that, but an extra ground lift switch allows you to defeat any hum or noise that might be interfering with the output.
