The Fishman Fluence Stephen Carpenter 8-String Humbucker Set provides two distinct voices that can be selected via a push/pull volume control. Voice 1 produces a pure and clean tone, with plenty of aggression and crunch, while voice 2 provides a full-sounding, hot tone with edge that is ideal for heavy metal styles. The Stephen Carpenter Humbucker Set includes all of the components that you need to wire it including 1 ceramic and 1 alnico pickup, as well as volume, tone and a push/pull voice selector pot. For that edgy appearance like Stephen is well known for, the pickups have a black finish with a glow in the dark stripe to ensure you will always stand out on stage.

Multi Voice Pickup

The Fishman Fluence pickup features two unique voices for you to create your own ideal sound. The voices of this Artist Pickup have been personalised by Deftones' Stephen Carpenter, who stated "I’m not much for specs, but I like clean, full sounding pickups. We put Fluence in and I jammed on them for 45 minutes and thought… ‘these things are great…’ I didn’t want to stop playing.”

Voice 1 provides a sound that is similar to the original Modern Fluence pickup, with crisp and crunchy tones; that have been adjusted slightly in the midrange to create Stephen's ideal pickup. Whilst voice 2 features custom voicing which offers incredible heat and edge; for a tone that Carpenter is well known for.

Stephen Carpenter is the guitarist in alternative metal band Deftones. The band are said to be one of the most experimental and innovative groups within alternative metal. Stephen often plays with 6, 7 and 8 string guitars for ultimate shredding and increased versatility.
