This 2018 limited edition model, celebrates of 135 years of ''That Great Gretsch Sound''. Based on the original designs, the G5420TG is crafted from 5-ply maple, producing a ''big body'' resonance that is instantly recognisable. A pair of classic F holes allow the sound to be projected forward, and add a touch of elegance to the overall appearance. Finally, finished in a Two-Tone Dark Cherry/Casino Gold, this beautiful guitar will stand out from the stage.

Standard ''U'' Neck Profile

The Gretsch G5420TG EMTC LTD features a standard ''U'' neck profile, providing players with comfortable playability, and the perfect choice for those who play with their thumb on the back or side of the neck. This comfortable neck is crafted from maple and topped with compressed ebony, adding a warm, resonance to the overall tone.

Black Top Filter’Tron Pickups

The Gretsch G5420TG EMTC LTD 135TH Anniversary Edition is equipped with Gretsch's Black Top Filter’Tron pickups. Located at the neck and bridge position, these pickups capture the guitar’s acoustic, sonic palette and reproduces powerful mids, extended lows and an superb clear, yet smooth high-end.

Anchored Adjusto-Matic Bridge

The Anchored Adjusto-Matic Bridge has featured on many Gretsch guitars over the years, due to its reliable tuning. Introduced in the early 1970s, this innovative bridge offers superb, individual intonation for each string, with its six adjustable saddles. A secured ebony base is also included in this design, and offers better resonance.

Bigsby Licensed B60 Vibrato Tailpiece

One of the most recognisable features on this guitar is the Bigsby tremolo, which has featured on Gretsch guitars since the 1950s. With the Bigsby tremolo players can add tremolo and pitch-bending effects to single notes or full chords, while remaining in-tune.

Graph Tech Nubone Nut

Manufactured under heat and pressure, this unique material outperforms plastic in many ways including its hardness, workability, appearance, guitar performance, odorless and its strength. In addition, Nubone delivers clear highs , a nice low end with overall fullness and a balanced sound that has increased harmonics and volume.
