MHS Humbucking Pickups

Loaded with a trio of hand-wired PAF-style MHS humbucking pickups, the Gibson ES-355 delivers an incredible variety of vintage style tone with an airy and biting response. Featuring unbalanced coils and Alnico II magnets with an under wound design, the MHS pickups are perfect for a variety of styles and offer a detailed and articulate response.

The middle humbucker features a reverse polarity design to expand its tonal capabilities, while the bridge humbucker features an increase in output. Coupled with these powerful pickups is a modified version of Gibson's MTC premier control setup, featuring matching 550k pots and orange drop capacitors which have been hand wired to ensure they deliver the ultimate performance.

Rosewood Fingerboard with Rolled Binding

The addition of a dark rosewood fingerboard infuses this Gibson ES guitar with a sweet, mellow characteristic, offering a thick low end and striking high end that will suit a wide variety of playing styles. The natural finish of the dark rosewood provides a smooth playing surface, while the addition of medium jumbo frets provides comfortable slides and note bends. The neck and fingerboard is finished will rolled binding, providing a rounded off feel and delivering a comfortable performance.

ABR-1 Bridge

This Gibson ES-355 features a sturdy ABR-1 bridge and a Bigsby B-7, offering incredible string stability and a truly comfortable performance. Its high-quality construction makes it extremely reliable, holding onto the string tension while maximising the transfer of vibrations for an enhanced sustain and vintage tone. The Bigsby also allows you to bend the pitch of notes and chords with the robust whammy bar.

Authentic Bone Nut

The Gibson ES-355 Black Beauty features an authentic bone nut, which offers an enhanced tone and sustain over traditional plastic and tusq nuts. The use of bone improves the vibration transfer between the string and tuning machines without dampening the tone, resulting in a clean sustain.
