The Government Series ES-335 has an incredible story as unique as the instrument itself! Utilizing Rosewood recovered by Gibson from the US government after the much publicized seizure in August 2011, the Government Series ES-335 features all of the fantastic upgrades found in the 2016 Memphis line. Incorporating a 3 ply Maple/Poplar/Maple body, Mahogany neck, Dirty Fingers pickups, black Corian nut, a specially embossed pick guard the ES-335 is a one of a kind semi-hollow body guitar. Includes green hardshell case.

Historic Mahogany Neck & Truss Rod

Featuring a Slim Taper Mahogany neck with re-designed dimensions the ES-335 offers an effortless playability whilst the set-in construction ensures maximum vibration transferal for long sustain and increased resonance. With the redesigned neck dimensions the ES-335 offers an improved resonance and more stable construction ideal for hard wearing playing. The headstock adjustable historic truss rod provides superior adjustability due to the Teflon coating, larger diameter and robust Brass anchor.

Rosewood Fingerboard

Incorporating a premium Rosewood fingerboard with rolled edge binding the ES-335 2016 Government guitar provides an effortless 22 fret playability. The Rosewood used to construct the fretboard was originally seized by US Government Agents in August of 2011 before being returned a year later.

Dirty Fingers Humbuckers

Based on the Gibson Super-Hot Pickups of 1970’s the Dirty Finger Humbuckers offer a crisp, powerful tone due to the ceramic magnets and nickel pole pieces. Also featuring shielded, four conductor wiring the Dirty Finger pickups are perfect for anything from rich, warm cleans to fierce distortion tones.
