The Dean Flight Series Travel Acoustic features a bubinga top which not only offers an eye-catching appearance, but produces a great sound that is well-suited to a wide range of genres. Its bubinga top also provides the Dean Flight Travel Acoustic with a great bass response, slightly dark and woody overtone content, as well as being slightly denser than rosewood, which contributes to its great sustain and clarity. The bubinga top is paired with mahogany back and sides which produce a rich, full, and resonant sound. Used as back and side panels, the mahogany also offers a soft warmth, but is well-balanced with a grind and bite of its own.
The Flight Series Travel Acoustic has a mahogany neck, which adds warmth and resonance to the overall sound. Its mahogany neck responds greatly to many different styles of play with equal ease. To provide comfort, the Dean Flight Bubinga features a C shaped neck profile, which offers players a comfortable and secure grip, reducing the likeliness of a cramping hand. For added warmth and a smooth, energetic play, the Flight Travel's neck is topped with a rosewood fingerboard, which also enhances the tone produced. Finished with mother of pearl Flight inlays that run the length of the fingerboard for an elegant appearance.
The Dean Flight Series Travel Acoustic features a 3/4 size dreadnought body, offering a lightweight and comfortable guitar that is extremely easy to travel with. Despite its compact size, the dreadnought body and combination of tonewoods produce a strong, versatile tone that is suitable for a wide range of genres and playing styles. Due to its 3/4 size, the Flight Series Acoustic is an ideal companion for life on the road, as well as beginners.
