Koa Body & Top

With an entirely Koa wood body the Exotica has a very pronounced middle range with deep lows and defined highs. Koa is a dense wood originating from Hawaii which excels when played firmly making it ideal for chord and heavy handed players. Although adept for hard playing styles Koa also sounds fantastic for a range of other playing styles and gives a balanced tone with great presence.

DMT Electronics & 3-Band EQ

The Exotica features a versatile DMT Designed preamp and pickup system which allows you to connect the Exotica directly to amps, PA systems and DI outputs to amplify its natural tone. Without the need to mic up the guitar's sound hole the Dean Exotica allows you to deliver a larger amount of stage presence whilst the on board 3-band EQ gives tone shaping options to optimize your perfect tone before it even reaches the PA.
