Comfortable Play

The Dean Exhibition features a slim D shaped neck to provide the comfort and feel of an electric guitar. In addition the Exhibition has a thin body to match, which not only provides comfort but reduces unpleasant feedback when plugged in.

Florentine Cutaway

A Florentine cutaway comes into a sharp point, resulting in a horn-like shape. Its a complex design and more labor-intensive to craft than a Venetian because the guitar is originally built as a non-cutaway guitar. The Florentine cutaway provides an edgy appearance and enables players to access higher frets.

Flame Maple Top & Mahogany Body

The Dean Exhibition Ultra FM features a flame maple top, offering satisfying tonal qualities and good sustain. Flame maple produces a bright attack that yields a loud tone and great projection. Aesthetically, the flame maple top will stand out due to its beautiful, naturally attractive grain pattern. The flame maple top is accompanied by mahogany back and sides which produces a more focused, woody, punchy mid-range, thick well-defined tone with plenty of depth and complexity that will please most playing styles. Mahogany also contains distinct character of soft warmth, but is well balanced with a bite of its own. The wood is used a lot in the acoustic world, because it is relatively economical, durable, attractive, easy to work with, and resonant.

Mahogany Neck & Ebony Fingerboard

The Exhibition's neck is constructed from mahogany, offering great durability and resonance. The neck is crafted from mahogany because the wood responds greatly to picking, strumming, and various finger techniques with equal ease. The Exhibition features D shaped set neck, which ensures a smooth and comfortable playing experience as well as strength and durability. Its slim D shaped neck is ideal for the electric guitarist that craves an acoustic sound but the feel and playability of an electric guitar. The neck is topped with a ebony fingerboard that delivers a very responsive, bright, snappy and crisp attack coupled with a smooth sustain.

Fishman Isys+ USB

The Dean Exhibition Ultra FM comes equipped with a Fishman Isys+ USB, making it the ideal guitar for the gigging musician. The Fishman Isys+ USB electronics feature rotary controls for volume, bass, and treble, enabling players to have full control of tone shaping for both gigging and practicing environments. The Fishman Isys+ USB also has a phase button, a low battery indicator, and a separate battery box. Unlike other preamps, the Fishman Isys+ USB features a USB input that is powered by the preamp battery. To engage the battery the preamp needs a guitar cable plugged into it. The USB feature enables players to connect to a desktop, laptop, Mac, or iPad. To use the USB feature with an Apple iPad, you will need an Apple camera connector kit. Simply plug in, and use along side Garage Band or any recording application and enjoy making your own music from the comfort of your bedroom.

Dean Aesthetics

The Dean Exhibition is a beautifully crafted, well-designed instrument that features a full host of decorative features. These features include a mother of pearl sound-hole rosette, white mother of pearl ultra diamond fingerboard makers, and chrome Grover tuners with black buttons. The Exhibition Ultra is finished in a charcoal burst with an edgy Florentine cutaway to project its rock 'n' roll vibe.
