With the WA-47, you’ve got a historically accurate ’47 capsule without needing to break to bank. Built to sound indistinguishable from the 60s icon, there’s no longer any need to go hunting for old gear. In fact, the WA-47 sounds so similar to the original, it’s passed several comparison tests, sitting sonically alongside the '47s used to test it. That means gorgeous, warm character that’s every bit as unique as its predecessor.

So how does the WA-47 achieve such accurate results? Simple. By only using the best components available, assembled with meticulous attention to detail. Warm audio have faithfully recreated the k47 style large diaphragm condenser capsule using the same hole pattern and frequency response. A premium 5751 vacuum tube offers low noise and lower gain, adding to the tonally smooth, 60s sound that you know and love. The microphone gets its unique sonic character from an American made TAB-Funkenwerk (AMI) USA transformer with large core imported German laminations, whilst its uncompressed top-end response comes from a bespoke configuration of polystyrene coupling, wima film, and Solen French capacitors. Add to that a 7-pin cable designed to increase the overall size of the recorded image in the stereo field, and you’ve got timeless sound for almost every studio application.
