The Snare

The A&F Drum Co. 14'' x 6.5'' Whiskey Maple Field Snare Drum boasts a handmade maple shell and is fitted with raw brass hardware for a natural finish. The snare has a standard size of 14'' x 6.5, however, the construction process makes it stand out in the market. The entire drum is handmade, including the raw brass hardware. The hardware includes high-quality wooden hoops, 6 raw brass lugs and claws, each contributing towards the structural integrity and strength of the shell. The snare, like all A&F drums, is built to order and handmade in the A&F Drum Co. factory/workshop in Austin, Texas. Never before has a snare offered so much in the way of tonal quality, which is why the Whiskey Maple Field Snare Drum is perfect for use either on stage or in the studio. The whiskey maple oil gives the snare a beautiful, warm glowing finish.

About A&F Drum Co.

A&F Drum Co. (Antoun & Family Drum Company) is a boutique drum company based in Austin, Texas, formed in May of 2016. Designer and president of the company, Ramy Antoun, set about producing a raw brass snare drum to replicate sounds and looks from treasured snare drums of the past. Antoun worked together with local craftsman, Steve Furcinitti, and began following his ambition to create a truly unique, hand-crafted brass snare drum. After some time, the A&F Drum Co. Original 14'' x 4'' Raw Brass Snare Drum was born, with production limited to 100 models.

Following the great success of the snare, Antoun returned to Steve Furcinitti in hope of creating an exclusive wood drum kit to partner with the existing snare. A&F Drum Co. continue to produce high-quality products to order, up to this day. Club and Field series kits feature 6-ply shells in either maple or mahogany, with curated finishes, an A&F reverse baseball outer edge and leather washers. Each drum series offers its own distinct character, tone and aesthetic due to its specific combination of materials and components.

Today, A&F Drum Co. offer an ever-growing range of custom, hand-made drums, constructed using the finest materials available, including brass, maple, mahogany and more. A&F Snare Drums

Handcrafted in Austin, Texas, A&F Drum Co. snares are available in a range of sizes and styles, all offering the high-end quality and aesthetic which A&F drums are becoming known for. All snares feature patented raw brass shells and hardware, and include high-quality Remo Ambassador heads for unprecedented response and sensitivity. The brass shells are cut, rolled, welded, sanded and treated with the patented A&F oxidising formula to kick start the patina process. The edges are all 45-degree cut, with a 3.5'' snare bed. Weighing in at anywhere from 7 to 14 pounds depending on the size, A&F Drum Co. snares provide drummers with the ultimate centrepiece for their drum kit.
